Barbara Eisenstadt Concert Series

RMAC's  Barbara Eisenstadt Concert Series (formaly Sunset Picnic Concert Series) has been an annual event held in historic Fort Tilden, Gateway National Recreation Area for over 21 years. In 2009 the Series was moved to Riis Park, GNRA. Over these many years our concert series has presented, among others, Kenny Vance and the Planotones, The Long Island Pops Orchestra, A Tribute to Frank Sinatra with Jerry Cardone and The Danny Vincent Orchestra, The Roadhouse Band, Cherish the Ladies-A Celtic Celebration, NY Gilbert & Sullivan Players, Paul Taylor 2 Dancers, The Platters, The Klez Dispensers, A Tribute to Ragtime-Sounds of Scott Joplin & Eubie Blake, and other dynamic performers.  But due to high fees charged by the park system the series had to be discontinued. We have now arranged with the Rockaway Theatre Company to hold  two performances in their Post Theater in Fort Tilden, GNRA.

2011 SERIES

Saturday, June 11th, 7:30 PM: Dean Karahalis and his Five Towns College Pops.
Maestro Karahalis conducted the LI Pops Orchestra, and is well known to RMAC concert fans. Dean has performed with the Radio City Music Hall Orchestra, Goklovsky Opera, and the New York Lyric Choir. He was an artist clinician for the Conn/Seimer Musical Instrument Company and was appointed Conductor-Musical Director for the Egievsky Ballet.

Saturday, June 25th, 7:30 PM: Jerry Cardone and his Quintet.
Jerry Cardone's singing career began in the mid-70s performing in jazz clubs on Long Island.
